STARBUZZ receives match records through Sportmonks Cricket API v2.0. STARBUZZ is an independent information website and is not an official league, team, broadcaster or scoring authority. Provider availability and competition coverage depend on the subscribed plan.
Live does not always mean active play
A match may remain in the live desk during innings breaks, stumps, delays or interruptions. STARBUZZ preserves the provider status and uses a friendlier label alongside it. Tea, lunch and dinner intervals are not presented as active play.
Source time and retrieval time
A scheduled match time comes from the provider and is stored as UTC before being formatted in your device timezone. A provider update time is shown only when the returned record contains one. The STARBUZZ retrieval time records when our server received the response; it is not presented as the provider’s publication time.
Refresh and caching
The shared live view requests a new STARBUZZ response every nine seconds while a live record exists and the browser tab is visible. The compact server response has an eight-second fresh-cache target and a nine-second upstream gate. This controls duplicate calls from many visitors. It does not guarantee that the provider will change a score every nine seconds.
Empty, stale and degraded states
An empty response means the connected provider returned no matching records. A stale state means STARBUZZ is showing the last successful response with its original retrieval time because the connection or quota is temporarily unavailable. A degraded state shows no invented score or fixture.
Images and team marks
STARBUZZ currently uses neutral text initials for teams. Provider image fields are not publicly rendered until the relevant display, caching, commercial-use and attribution rights are confirmed.
Corrections
If a match field appears wrong, use the Contact page and select “Match-data report.” Include the match URL, date, teams, disputed field and supporting source. STARBUZZ may correct its presentation or refer the matter to the data provider.
